Bowl 'N' Blast 2005

On Sunday, November 20th, 2005, the 5th annual Bowl 'N' Blast was held at the Airport Lanes.  The event was hosted by the Special Events class in the Master of Sport Administration program.

Professional boxer, Baby Joe Mesi was on hand to take pictures and sign autographs for the event.  He also donated a pair of signed boxing gloves to be given as the registration prize for the event.  He was joined by some local team mascots, Sabretooth and Buster T. Bison, which was a huge hit with all the bowlers.

The ceremonial first ball was thrown by Baby Joe Mesi, Canisius' MSA Director, Staci Carney Studesville, Buster T. Bison, and John Craik of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

This year's event raised over $3,000 dollars for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns of Western New York.  This was all made possible by the donations and prizes given by our many donors and local business organizations.  Franco Balassone, a graduate of the MSA Program and coordinator of the Black Rock Boys & Girls Clubs was thrilled with the way the event turned out.  Thanks to this event more children in his neighborhood will now be able to benefit from the outstanding programs and services that they offer.

On behalf of everyone in the Special Events class of 2005 we would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity in making this such a successful event!
