Matt Hamilton, a full-time athletic trainer at Canisius College, is responsible for the College's men's soccer, baseball and synchronized swimming teams. He is also an approved clinical instructor in the CAATE accredited undergraduate program in athletic training at Canisius.

While earning his master's degree at Canisius in health and human performance, Hamilton was responsible for assisting with laboratory and teaching duties within the atheltic training program. A native of Peru, N.Y., Hamilton served as the head athletic trainer at the 2006 and 2007 MAAC Tennis Championships at the United States Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.

Hamitlon came to Canisius in 2005 after graduating Cum Laude from SUNY-Cortland with his bachelor's degree in athletic training. A certified athletic trainer (NATABOC), Hamilton received Cortland's 2005 Dr. Karel Horak Outstanding Athletic Training Student Award, as well as the school's 2004 Athletic Training Peer Recognition Award.  In 2008, he received the Outstanding Research Poster award at the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association meeting in Valley Forge, PA.

He currently lives in Buffalo.
