If you could have one thing, what would it be?: To be financially secure for the rest of my life so I can travel the world with good friends and family.
What are your plans after graduation, if any?: Although graduation is still two years away, I plan to attend law school following graduation and eventually get involved in the political sphere.
Why did you join the Senate?: As a freshman, I knew that I wanted to become extremely involved at Canisius and became a Freshman Senator. As I became more and more involved, I became increasingly passionate about serving the student body at Canisius. As Executive Vice President, I work to do anything that is necessary to make sure the senate is running as smooth as possible, as well as to allow the senators to do their jobs at the best of their ability. I enjoy working closely with the senators and the rest of the students at Canisius. I have found it to be a passion of mine to serve the student body and promote the best atmosphere for all students on campus.
Are there any words of advice you can give to those who want to be future senate leaders?: The most important thing in leadership is to be true to yourself. In any type of leadership position, some leaders lose sight of why they got involved and eventually forgot the foundation that put them into their position. As long as you remember where you came from, what you wanted to accomplish, and to be true to yourself, you are on your way to successful leadership. One other piece of advice I can give is to be the leader you want to see; if you want your members to be accountable to you, make sure that you are accountable to them. Do not expect future senate members to give you their respect if you do not give them yours.
How important is leadership? Leadership is what drives everyone to accomplish their goals; everyone is a leader in their own way and play their own role in a business or organization. Take your leadership role seriously because you never know who you will impact and who is watching. Leadership is extremely important because it gives you the power to change your world, as well as the world around you.
Fun Fact?: Although my iPhone is my most prized possession, the reason that my favorite place to go on vacation extremely far north into Canada is the lack of phone service; peace and quiet at its best.

Why did you join the senate? I became involved with the senate starting my Freshman year as a Freshman Senator, especially involved in the Finance Committee. Over the past four years of my college career, I have tried to make as much of a difference and positive change to the Canisius community that I could, through my senate position. I wanted to make sure my peers’ voices were always being heard.
If you could have one thing, what would it be? More time. Time is precious and I wish I had more time to spend with my family and to relax.
What are your plans after graduation? I will be an Assurance employee at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in New York City starting in September 2012.
How important is leadership? Leadership is something that should never be taken for granted. Leadership is what will set anyone apart, in any career, any job, any situation.
Are there any words of advice you can give to those who want to be future Senators? Future senate leaders and all leaders on campus: If you work hard enough and use the resources around you, you can make anything happen on campus and you can make the change you see fit. Put hard work and dedication into everything you do, because that is when you will get the most out of your entire experience at Canisius College.
Fun fact: I own over 80 pairs of shoes.
