The Office of International Student Programs functions as a center for the internationally diverse student population at Canisius College. International students face many challenges as they adapt to a foreign environment. To address these special needs, the Office of International Student Programs (ISP) provides extensive support services to enhance the students' experience at Canisius and in America. In addition, the office is continually improving and increasing the options made available to Canisius students interested in expanding their horizons. Students who study abroad say that it is a life-changing experience. Study abroad programs provide the opportunity to strengthen fluency in other languages, enhance knowledge of global relations and deepen the understanding of cultural and societal differences and similarities. Study abroad students at Canisius meet with the Director of International Student Programs to discuss their needs and goals for the semester overseas.
