On Campus Dial 711
In the event of a medical emergency on campus such as illness or injury, or if a student is emotionally upset and appears to be in danger of hurting him/herself or others, contact Public Safety by calling 711. A trainer Public Safety officer will respond and transport the individual to a local emergency room or call for ambulance assistance.
Off Campus Dial 911
In the event of a medical or emotional emergency off campus, dial 911. Your call will be forwarded to Emergency Medical Services for Erie County where a trained dispatcher will send medical assistance to your location.

If you are experiencing an illness or injury that is not life threatening but is serious enough to warrant medical attention that can not wait until the Student Health Center opens, the following urgent care clinics are available:

General Emergency Recommendations
It is important to remember these key points in any emergency situation:
1.Check the scene
Before responding to any ill, injured, or emotionally upset person, determine the safety of the situation or scene before approaching the victim or victims. Protecting personal safety and the safety of bystanders is critical.
2.Call for help
Once the situation or scene is judged safe, priority must be given to the ill or injured person or persons.The first person on the scene should if at all possible, stay with the person in need and direct someone else to call Public Safety. If there is no one to make the call, determine if the victim is awake and alert. If the person is not responding, leave them briefly to call for assistance and return immediately. It is very important to get trained emergency response personnel to the scene as soon as possible, so do not delay in calling for help. Do not try to manage the emergency situation without the support to trained emergency responders.
3. Assist the victim
Once the call is made for help, return to the victim and do what you can to assist them.
