Economou Dining Hall
Dining Services offers meals on a cash, flex or Golden Choice basis to commuters, residents, faculty, staff and visitors. Board Meal Plans are required for all residents of Bosch, Frisch and Eastwood Halls. First semester freshmen residing in a residence hall are required to participate in Meal Plan #1. Second semester freshmen may choose from plans 1, 2 or 3. All other students residing in Bosch, Frisch or Eastwood must participate in Plans 1, 2, 3 or 4. 

ID Cards
ID Cards are required to enter the dining hall for breakfast, brunch,  and dinner. Guests may pay in cash or use a meal plan participant’s bonus meal for entry. ID Cards are also required to access flex funds. Meal Cards are not transferable. Lost or missing cards may be replaced at Public Safety.

Meal Plans
(required for residence students)

Plan 1   19 Meals
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on weekdays, Brunch and Dinner on weekends: includes $75 Flex Funds and 15 Bonus Meals

Plan 2   14 Meals
Any 14 meals per week from Friday Breakfast – Thursday Dinner: includes $100 Flex Funds and 10 Bonus Meals

Plan 3   10 Meals
Any 10 meals per week from Friday Breakfast – Thursday Dinner: includes $225 Flex Funds and 8 Bonus Meals

Plan 4   75 Meals/semester
75 Meals are available for use during the semester for any meal or meal exchange at all dining locations. Meals do not expire until they are used. Unused meals expire at the end of each semester: includes $500 Flex Funds and 5 Bonus Meals

Townhouse/Commuter Plans
In addition to Plans 1, 2, 3 & 4, Townhouse residents and Commuter students may choose Plans 5 & 6.

Plan 5   Super Flex Fund
This plan offers the discount Meal Plan Exchange program reserved for Meal Plan Members. Save up to 15% on special meals for lunch and dinner verses a
la carte prices. $600 minimum deposit per semester.

Plan 6  Flex Only
A minimum opening balance of $50 opens a Flex Fund declining balance account. Flex Funds can be used to purchase any food item at any dining location on campus. Save the 8.25% sales tax by using Flex Funds for food purchases. Additional Funds may be added to an account in $25 increments.

Notes: 
•  Flex Funds carry over from the Fall to Spring semester only. Unused Flex Funds expire at the end of the Spring semester. Flex Funds are not available over the summer session. Flex Funds are non-refundable.
•  Meal Plan meals are available only when classes are in session. Flex Funds may be used during semester breaks and holidays when the college is open. All meal plans and Flex Funds expire at the end of the Spring semester.

Student Input
Student input is very important to the successful function of a dining services operation. A Dining Services Advisory Committee was established to develop and implement a system for evaluating the satisfaction of the customer.

Campus Dining Rules
The following constitute violations of Food Service regulations and the college’s Community Standards:

  • Use of profane language. 
  • Lending one’s meal card for use by another individual.
  • Sharing one’s food or beverage with a non-meal cardholder.
  • Consumption of food by a non-meal card holder without paying.
  • Use of a meal card, or meal card number, or student I.D. card which is not one’s own.
  • Failure to show one’s meal card upon entry into the dining area or to authorized Food Service personnel upon request.
  • Removing food/equipment from the dining room.
  • Throwing any food, beverage, or utensils.
  • Failure to return trays/dining utensils to dish room, recepticals, or trash.
  • Taking more than one serving of food when limited to one serving per student, at a time.
  • Failure to wear shoes and shirt at all times.
