- American Red Cross Club -- This group encourages local community volunteering through the Buffalo Red Cross, including involvement in the local Disaster Assistance Team.
- Amnesty International -- This organization brings on awareness of human rights to the students at Canisius, develops student leadership and allows students to become active in a respected international organization.
- Association of U.S. Army -- This club promotes camaraderie and military understanding amongst ROTC cadets, Canisius students, and the Canisius community by sponsoring educational and social events.
- BACCHUS -- BACCHUS promotes the responsible use of alcohol and the awareness of drug abuse through social educational programming.
- Bible Study -- This club is an organization devoted to encouraging the study of the Bible. A non-denominational Christian organization, it is not affiliated with any particular church or religious organization.
- C-Block -- Canisius College C-Block is a very popular club on campus. As the winner of the 2006 Club of the Year, C-Block makes an effort to attend all athletic events to create a fun and intimidating atmosphere for opposing schools. C-Block is open for all students to join by contacting one of the e-board members at any time. With membership, there will be a one time fee of $5, a membership card that can be swiped in order to receive points and prizes, a new shirt every year, and various other giveaways during meetings and events.
- Canisius Christian Youth Organization (CCYO) -- This group promotes Christian ethics and values in today’s culture through the study of the Bible, Christian outreach, and diverse campus wide and community activities.
- Circle K – A student branch of the Kiwanis Club, this club develops citizenship and the spirit of service for improvement of all human relationships. Events include charitable parties, bloodmobiles, nursing home visits, and dance marathons.
- College Republicans -- This club provide the student body of Canisius and the community with Republican concepts in order to develop deeper insight into the perplexing local, national, and international issues of our time. Programs include speakers and conference attendance.
- Commuter Student Association (CSA) -- CSA– join the commuter cause! Commuters are always looking for ways to get involved and here is a perfect opportunity. CSA offers movie nights, exam week study breaks, monthly meetings, commuter awareness weeks and more. “Canisius Commutes” – a monthly newsletter provides information about activities.
- Habitat For Humanity -- Habitat for Humanity helps to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness in the United States and throughout the world. The foundation is based upon partnerships formed between people with resources and those in need.
- Leadership Workshop -- This workshop series develops new leadership skills and enhances existing skills in a group setting. No criteria to take part; recommended highly for students in leadership positions.
- National Society Of Pershing Rifles -- The Pershing Rifle Company affords any student the opportunity to gain experience in military bearing and acquire the skills necessary to further develop the leadership abilities that are highly demanded in both the civilian community and/or the duties of the United States Army.
- People Enabling Other People to Live Equally (PEOPLE) -- PEOPLE raises awareness, changes perceptions and promotes equality in the Canisius community through workshops, mentoring, and community service.
- Residence Hall Association (RHA) -- RHA enriches the lives of resident students by promoting events designed to create unity and community spirit, while stimulating cultural, intellectual, athletic, and social growth. Involvement opportunities are available to residents by becoming a floor representative of your living unit. All resident students are members of RHA.
- Senior Week Committee -- Senior Week provides each senior class with pre-graduation activities, including the annual 100 Days Party, the Senior Ball, and the Senior Picnic. All seniors are encouraged to become a member of the committee or to participate.
- Student Programming Board (SPB) -- SPB organizes the majority of social events and activities for the Canisius community. These include the annual Spring Fest, dances, game shows, concerts, semi-formals, speakers, and comedians. All students are invited and encouraged to join and help in planning fun filled events on campus.
- Students Promoting Environmental Awareness -- The primary goal of this club is to communicate to individuals that they can play a small part in helping solve much larger environmental issues. Sponsoring speakers, and education through activities and events are just some of the ways to get the message out.
- Students for Life -- By way of panel discussions, lectures, film presentations, and other means, Students for Life seek to educate the Canisius community with specific regard to ethical issues concerning human life and the value of every human being.
- Undergraduate Student Association (USA) -- The USA is comprised of the total undergraduate student body and is represented by an elected Student Senate and an Executive Board. Student Senate and the Finance Committee, with the help of CPLD, ensure the equitable distribution of student tax dollars.
- USA Lobbying & Registration Committee -- Lobbying Committee represents students and their interests in the Albany legislative process; to maintain a higher educational system of unsurpassed quality providing for free enrollment access to all; to insure adequate levels of state aid for all independent institutions. Events include legislation, financial, and communication activities.
- Young Democrats -- This organization encourages debate and discussion of the Democratic Party’s positions on political events, as well as on other local and national happenings. This organization will serve as a conduit between the Board of Elections and the Canisius student body for the purpose of registering voters.
