Founded in 1845, the National University of Ireland, Galway is a vital educational resource for the entire nation. With a worldwide reputation for scholarship and teaching, the university offers smaller class sizes and student/teacher ratios. A friendly, intimate atmosphere prevails on campus.
Students may spend a semester or year at National University of Ireland, Galway. Students may take the same courses available to full-time undergraduates, which enables them to immerse themselves in Irish culture. Students live in apartments in the center of Galway, within walking distance of the university. Apartments are fully equipped with a kitchen, bathroom and living area.

Program Costs |
Fees (to be paid to Canisius):
Canisius tuition (approx. $15,990), study abroad fee ($500), and mandatory health insurance (approx. $180).
Costs paid directly by the student include housing, board, transportation, approx. 300 euros (approx. $420) immigration registration fee, and miscellaneous expenses. The cost of living accommodations in fully furnished apartments in central Galway is 2100 euros (about $2940) for the fall semester and 2350 euros (about $3,290) for the spring semester. Students must pay a security deposit of 500 euros which will be refunded if there is no damage. Program cost subject to currency fluctuation. |
