Galway, Ireland

For nearly a thousand years, Galway has been the largest and most important city in the west of Ireland.  The capital of Connemara, Galway is at the heart of one of the world’s most scenic landscapes.  In addition to the city’s dynamic cosmopolitan atmosphere, the older Gaelic culture – in music, song and language – is especially vibrant.
