Short Term Programs and Summer Abroad

You have the opportunity to study abroad over the summer! By participating in these two to six week programs, you can earn three to six college credits. Students please note that your Canisius College financial package and any Canisius College scholarship will not travel with you for summer study abroad.

Summer Abroad

Applications are due April 1, except for Dortmund and Eichstaett, Germany.  Students wishing to study abroad on a non-Canisius program must let the Office of International Partnerships & Study Abroad know as soon as possible.

London Metropolitan University - England

Program Dates: July 7, 2013- July 19, 2013
Take courses in international relations and business law.

Universite Catholique de Lille , France

Program Dates: Session 1: May 31-June 27, 2013; Session 2: June 28-July 23, 2013
Session 1: European Business & Management, European Integration, European Economic Systems, French Arts, French Culture and Society, Science and Engineering

Ecole de Management of Strasbourg , France

Program Dates: June 3- June 28, 2013
Take courses on French language and culture and/or European business and politics. This program includes a weekly company visit by major European companies.

Catholic University of Eichstätt, Germany

July 15 - August 8, 2013:  The program is intended for students and professionals in the Humanities, especially in German Studies and Political Science/Economics.  
Application Deadline: March 15, 2013 - Early registration in March is highly recommended because the program is usually fully booked by this time.

University of Dortmund, Germany

June 1 - July 19, 2013:  The International Summer Program (ISP) at TU Dortmund University is designed to offer excellent students innovative, hands-on study opportunities in a wonderful study abroad environment.
Application Deadline:  February 15, 2013

National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland

Program Date: vary depending on program (generally June/July):  Summer courses for credit in Education, Irish Language, Irish Studies, T.E.F.L., Archaeology 

Lorenzo de' Medici - Florence and Rome, Italy

Sessions in June, July, and August:  This program is well-suited for the undergraduate student seeking to study abroad and earn academic credit, or the independent or adult student seeking a meaningful educational experience at one of our two campuses. The summer months also offer a variety of cultural and artistic events taking place in and around all LdM campuses.

Program Dates: Session 1 (Japanese Language): June 10-July 19, 2013
Session 2 (Asian Studies): July 25-August 14, 2013

Universitidad Pontificia Comillas - Madrid, Spain
