Howard Hyden

Howard Hyden brings over 25 years of hard-won business acumen and hands-on experience to the podium. His well-earned reputation for turning companies around began early in his career when he led a division of Control Data, a Fortune 100 company with over 53,000 employees, to new records for service and quality in just 14 months. His extensive research includes studies with such notable institutions as Harvard, Stanford, Duke, and Kellogg business schools. Armed with this knowledge and his past experiences, Howard has developed a proven methodology for transforming organizations into astounding success stories.
In addition to speaking engagements, Howard produces a variety of published works and was recently on of four experts featured in
Conversations on Success. He designed a series of best-practice learning resources at the Center for Customer Focus (CCF) located in Colorado Springs, CO. As founder of CCF, Howard Hyden continues to innovate some of the most dynamic business concepts utilized today. He is an MBA graduate with honors from Pepperdine University and majored in electrical engineering as an undergraduate at the University of Illinois.

Lunchtime SpeakerDr. Andrea Simon, Ph.D.

Dr. Andrea Simon in an anthropologist who founded Simon Associates Management Consultants (SAMC) to bring the unique perspective of anthropology to businesses that need to see, feel and thing differently about their company, their customers and those nonusers who could become their customers. SAMC is a consulting firm specializing in helping companies change.
SAMC's approach uses ethnographic techniques and innovative approaches, included Blue Ocean Strategic thinking, to help companies find new markets, change their customer experience, reinvent their business models, transform their organizational structure, create new products and services, or significantly alter their brand positioning in the market. Often, SAM not only helps create a new strategic direction but also becomes part of the team that is implementing the change, working to creative innovative solutions or organizations capable of continuous transformations.
Dr. Simon is a professor of Anthropology and American studies at Ramapo College and visiting professor of Entrepreneurship at Washington University. Her business experience as a senior executive in management, marketing and branding at financial services companies and healthcare institutions also contributes to her expertise.
