Visiting Students
Undergraduate students enrolled at another college must complete a Non-Matriculating Student Admission Application and be accepted through the Office of Student Records and Registration, Bagen Hall room 106, prior to the start of the respective session. Students are advised to check with their own college to determine the eligibility of the course for transfer of credit.

High School Seniors - Graduated
Graduated high school seniors who have been accepted by Canisius College as potential freshmen for the Fall 2010 semester need not submit an admissions application.

Although the general requirements for admission to the Undergraduate Division of the Summer Session is graduation from an approved secondary school or its equivalent, qualified high school students who have completed at least three years of secondary studies are permitted to enroll in Summer Session courses for credit at special tuition rates. Such students must apply for admission to the Director of Admissions prior to May 14, 2010 and submit, with their application, transcripts of their high school academic record and a letter of recommendation from their principal or guidance counselor. High school students whose admission to Summer Sessions 2010 is approved, must arrange for an interview with an advisor in the Student Advisement Center (Bagen 103) prior to registration in order to plan their program of studies.

Graduate Students
Admissions:
An application for admission to this master's degree program is open to qualified holders of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, regardless of undergraduate field of study. The Admissions Committee evaluates applicants on the basis of academic records, scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), work experience, professional accomplishments and subjective appraisal of motivation and likelihood of successful program completion.
To qualify for admission, the student should have one of the following:
- A minimum total of at least 950 points based on the formula: 200 times the undergraduate GPA (4.0 system) + the GMAT or converted GRE score. OR
- At least 1000 points based on the formula: 200 times the junior and senior year GPA (4.0 system) + the GMAT or converted GRE score.
The converted GRE score is calculated as follows: [(3.0 x verbal) + (2.0 x quantitative) + (100 x analytic)]/6. OR - A minimum total of 600 points on the TOEFL examination for international students (as well as appropriate undergraduate credentials
In order to apply, applicants need to complete an application form, have their GMAT,GRE or TOEFL scores forwarded from the testing service, provide two official transcripts for all college work, write a brief essay describing their interest in the program, and submit such other information as requested by the Admissions Committee. Eligible students may enter in the fall, spring or summer semester. Preferred consideration will be given to those who complete the application process by July 15 for the fall, November 15 for the spring and April 15 for the summer semester.
College of Arts & Sciences Communication and Leadership
The MS in Communication and Leadership provides insight into the complex relationship between leadership and communication in areas such as building and bridging networks of relationships, communicating expectations and goals, motivating and listening. Leaders persuade, motivate, communicate a shared vision and create an environment that enables them to lead effectively. The Communication and Leadership program blends functional knowledge and analytical skills with the ability to interact with others, understand them, interpret their behavior and communicate effectively. Graduates of the program will gain knowledge and understanding of personal leadership behaviors and advancing these behaviors to lead effectively in teams and other organizational contexts.

In either instance, the same admission standards will apply. Prospective students must possess a bacalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, regardless of major field of study, and must present evidence of their qualifications to participate fully in a graduate level endeavor.

School Of Education & Human Services Graduate Programs
The School of Education and Human Services offers master's degree programs in administration and supervision, elementary and secondary education, reading, counselor education, college student personnel administration, deaf education, general education and special education. The Department of Physical Education offers master's degree programs in physical education and sport administration.
Students must assume the responsibility of becoming acquainted with all requirements pertaining to their program of study.

Since the programs are specifically designated to be part-time, classes are scheduled during evening periods to allow graduate students employed during the day to attend. The MBA program is fully accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The M.B.A.P.A. program is registered with the New York State Education Department and qualifies graduates to sit for the C.P.A. examination in New York State. The MTM program provides technical understanding of telecommunication systems, including computer networks, as well as economic, regulatory and marketing aspects.
