It takes a superior commitment from everyone involved – parents, faculty, staff and alumni – to maintain and continue to improve the quality of a Canisius education.
Most parents make a gift to the Annual Fund because, as with any sound investment, their contributions foster growth and success. Their support also makes it possible for the college to provide scholarships and financial aid to students.
When parents participate in the Annual Fund, they join thousands of individuals who are committed to prove the best for our students. It is a gift of many returns because Canisius transforms our students into confident leaders who, as they go out into the world, take with them the experiences and lessons they learned here.
Canisius College believes in your child as much as you do; your participation in the Annual Fund is one more step you can take to help them succeed.
Parents' CouncilParents become lifetime members of the Canisius community upon the admission of their son or daughter. They play a vital role in the life of the college. The Canisius College Parents’ Council offers meaningful and enjoyable ways for parents to become active members of the Canisius family.
The Parents’ Council is a network of parents who are committed to the well-being and advancement of Canisius.
Goals and InitiativesThe goal of the Parents’ Council is to provide support to Canisius in the following ways:
- Participate in the Parents’ Fund and encourage others to donate and/or volunteer.
- Act as a conduit for parent opinions, concerns and feedback on all topics.
- Serve as ambassadors at welcome events and sendoffs for new parents and students.
- Assist in recruiting students to Canisius by hosting regional parent receptions.
