facilities

Canisius is second to none in the quality of its facilities. Over the past 14 years, Canisius President Rev. Vincent M. Cooke, S.J. has overseen the investment of nearly $120 million in the campus. Eighty percent of Canisius housing has been built new or renovated in the last eight years.

The most recent additions include Eastwood Hall, home to 270 freshman and sophomores. Extensive renovations to the former St. Vincent de Paul Church into the award-winning Montante Cultural Center, and the college’s signature academic buildings, Old Main and Lyons Hall, are among changes which make Canisius a model of what an attractive urban campus can look like.

Nor is that the end. With the acquisition and redevelopment of the HealthNow building, Canisius has an historic opportunity to develop a world class science center for programs in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, psychology, physics, computer science, environmental science and bioinformatics.
