The Western New York Writing Project welcomes you to become part of our growing community of teachers and writers.  Whether you are a professional writer or a novice, an experienced teacher or new to the profession, a parent or a teenager -- the Writing Project has a program to fit your needs and interests.

Teachers in all disciplines are encouraged to apply to the annual Summer Institute and join our Fellows who share their expertise and creative strategies.

Schools needing in-service on writing and reading across all disciplines -- or other staff development programs - can contact our director, Dr. Suzanne Borowicz, and participate in our programs.

Students can join us at various activities, including our festival, our camps, our anthology publication, and our special kids programs. Adults interested in writing or writers may attend our public events and our Summer Writing Camp for adults.

The WNYWP offers participants the rare opportunity to pursue their professional interests in a setting which fosters friendship and collaboration.  Teachers explore techniques, problems and share discoveries in informal and formal discussions.  We invite you to come be a part of an innovative team!

"The WNY Writing Project is inspirational in getting writers to write as well as read and analyze the writings of others."
