In-Service Programs and Extended Learning
During the school year, our teacher consultants conduct in-service programs for classroom teachers to improve writing and reading in the schools. Our teacher consultants share best practices in interactive workshops for teachers of all disciplines. Participants experience the latest in research-based instruction, successful classroom tested materials and strategies developed to help students meet the New York State standards and new state exams, but more importantly to grow as writers.
The WNYWP offers participants the rare opportunity to pursue their professional interests in a setting which fosters friendship and collaboration. Teachers explore techniques, problems and share discoveries in informal and formal discussions. We invite you to come be a part of an innovative team.
