Each summer the Western New York Writing Project identifies exemplary teachers of writing who represent all grade levels from kindergarten through university and from all subject areas. These teachers attend our intensive four week Summer Institute hosted by Canisius College - in teaching reading and writing. They see teachers demonstrate successful classroom practices, present a lesson integrating writing, study research, pose their own research questions, write extensively and share their writing.
