Young Writers’ Anthology
The Western New York Writing project is a local site of The National Writing Project that concentrates on improving education and student thinking. Part of the WNYWP is the Young Writers’ Anthology, which highlights the local talent of students from kindergarten to twelfth grade.
Authors of short stories, poems, plays, and other genres of writing, as well as artists are invited to submit original pieces of work. Each submission must be typed and include the author/artist’s name, grade and school, along with a submission form signed by a parent and classroom teacher.
When a piece is considered for publication, the author will receive a letter notifying him/her of acceptance, as well as detailed information regarding The Young Writer’s Anthology Reception celebrating the author’s artistic and creative talents.
