Math 106 (Fall 2008)

Course Announcement (Syllabus): First day hand-out

Course Schedule: Weekly topics, Exam dates, ...

OVERVIEW:
Math 106 is an introduction to the methods and applications of one-variable calculus. The course is geared toward people majoring in disciplines outside of natural sciences and engineering, so a little less of a technical burden than in 111/112 or 115. Nevertheless, all main areas will be covered here (functions, limits/continuity, differentiation, and some integration), together with various applications. Some of these applications will inevitably have sciences/engineering flavor, but we will also see many interesting applications to other areas.
