The photo is of my son and myself on Green Lake in Orchard Park, NY. One of the calmer moments in a kayak, a nice sedate lake.
My son took the picture below from the front seat of a tandem sea kayak. The island in the picture is Alger's Island in Fourth Lake, in the Fulton Chain of Lakes in the Adirondacks, near Inlet NY. The island has lean-tos, where we stayed.
Locally, check out
Cattaragaus Creek, the Letchworth Gorge and Cazenovia Creek. Nice runs when the water is up. Think Rain.
