Meet the Institute Staff and Leaders
Dr. Stephen Chanderbhan
Dr. Stephen Chanderbhan is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Canisius College. His areas of specialization include Medieval Philosophy (specifically, the thought of Thomas Aquinas), Moral Psychology, and Philosophy of Religion; his areas of competency include Ethics and Catholic Social Thought.
Darby came to Buffalo from Cleveland after her graduation from a Jesuit high school. The Jesuit charism brought her to Canisius for both her B.A. in English, Creative Writing, and Political Science ('16) and her M.S. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration. She loves celebrating Buffalo and also works in Admissions at Villa Maria College due to her passion for Catholic education.
Dana was born in Buffalo, NY. She graduated from Buffalo State College with a Business and Marketing degree in 2016. During her undergraduate years she also studied at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and New College of Florida. Through her experiences at several Universities around the country, she developed a passion for guiding college students to success and thought it would only make sense to pursue a Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration masters degree at Canisius College. She loves to encourage students to be the best they can be by being the "light of the world". If asked, Dana would say she is currently living the dream at Canisius. Although she loves the beach and palm trees, she is very thankful God has placed her at Canisius and is really excited to work alongside Campus Ministry.
