Burrell ’91 featured in Food & Beverage Magazine

Canisius alumna and Food Network star, Anne Burrell ’91 was featured in Food & Beverage Magazine. The English and communications major went on to pursue her passion for food by enrolling in the Culinary Institute of America. Burrell has hosted and appeared in a number of Food Network shows such as “Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition,” “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef” and “Chef Wanted,” and published cookbooks entitled “Cook Like a Rock Star” and “Own Your Kitchen: Recipes to Inspire and Empower.” She currently is chef and owner of Phil & Anne’s Good Time Lounge in Brooklyn, NY. Hometown Hero
Alumna receives award of recognition

Bailey McGowan, MBA '14, was named a “Hometown Hero” by 106.5 WYRK, Buffalo’s country music station. The award recognizes a local native who makes an impact in their respective career or field. McGowan serves in the US Navy as a supply officer, ensuring that sailors have the proper equipment to be prepared for war. Read more here.
