April 2, 2013

BUFFALO, NY – Canisius University announces a new partnership with Kings Pathways, the specialist university pathways division of Kings Colleges. The University 1+3 partnership program provides international students with the opportunity to complete a U.S. degree program in four years, while benefiting from tailored support and additional tutoring in English language and study skills from specialist counselors.

“Canisius is pleased to be able to invite more international students to campus by way of the Kings Pathways partnership,” says Andrew Overfield, coordinator of international admissions at Canisius. “This collaboration will further diversity on the Canisius campus and bring an expanded international perspective to the classrooms, both of which are critical components to creating a vibrant learning environment.”

“We are delighted to announce this new partnership with such a prestigious and highly-regarded institution as Canisius,” says Bill Colvin, director of Kings Pathways USA. “Kings Pathways gives students the comfort of guaranteed progression, combined with the flexibility and support to ensure they make the right long-term decisions. We ask students to think about the degrees they want on their walls in four years and we build paths for them to accomplish their goals.”

International students who enroll in the University 1+3 program are taught by Canisius faculty, alongside American students. After completion of their freshmen year, students are guaranteed acceptance to their second year. They then have the option to complete all four years at Canisius or transfer full academic credits to either SUNY Albany or SUNY Geneseo.
