Canisius College to Commemorate Constitution Day
BUFFALO, NY – Canisius College will recognize and celebrate the signing of the United States Constitution on Wednesday, September 19 at 3:15 p.m. in the college’s Grupp Fireside Lounge, located on the second floor of the Richard E. Winter (’42) Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Constitution Day, September 17, is the day on which colleges and universities, as mandated by federal law, recognize and celebrate the signing of the United States Constitution in Philadelphia in 1787.
The Frank G. Raichle Pre-Law Center at Canisius and the Political Science Department are pleased to announce that its commemoration of Constitution Day 2018 will feature a forum entitled “The Nomination and Confirmation Process for Supreme Court Justices.” The discussion will be led by Buffalo State College Political Science Professor Peter Yacobucci, PhD and Raichle Pre-Law Center Director Robert Klump. The event will be moderated by Attorney and Canisius Adjunct Professor Stacey Moar.
