Canisius Presents Ibero-American Film Festival

Buffalo, NY - Canisius College will host its fifth annual Ibero-American Film Festival from Tuesday, October 3 to Tuesday, October 31 in Old Main Room 314, the Language Resource Center. All screenings will be held on Tuesdays and begin at 6 p.m. The event, which is sponsored by Sigma Delta Pi and the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures, is free and open to the public. The festival features critically-acclaimed movies from Spain and Latin America. All films are in Spanish with English subtitles.

The series is being held in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. It was made possible with the support of Pragda, and the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C., Spain-USA Foundation. Special thanks to the Secretary of State for Culture of Spain.

The film schedule is listed below:

  • October 3: El Amparo
  • October 10: Neruda            
  • October 17: El acompañante        
  • October 24: Historias del canal  
  • October 30: Carga Sellada
