Canisius Presents Informally Formal Chamber Recital

BUFFALO, NY – ArtsCanisius presents an Informally Formal Chamber Recital on Tuesday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.  The performance will feature Daniel Kerdelewicz, French horn; Susan Schuman, piano; and several musicians from the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO).

 

The recital will include a performance of Franz Krommer’s Octet, an arrangement of Christoph Förster’s Konzert for Waldhorn, two violins, viola and basso continuo arranged for horn and piano, and Eugène Bozza’s – En Forêt op. 40.  

 

A native of Poland, Kerdelewicz has won multiple horn competitions in his home country. In 2009, he recorded the world premiere of the Concerto for Horn, Saxophone and Orchestra by Wojtek Blecharz. That same year, he joined the BPO as associate principal horn for a one-year term and was named to the position permanently in 2010.  Kerdelewicz was also recently named guest associate principal horn of the Pittsburgh Symphony for a one-year term.  

 

Tickets are $15 for general admission and $7 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or on-line at www.canisius.edu/artscanisius/bpo-informally-formal/. Parking during ArtsCanisius events is available in all Canisius lots except Loyola Hall.
