Canisius Senior Receives National French Award

BUFFALO, NY – The American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) has honored Kaitlyn E. Hatch ’13 with its 2013 Outstanding Senior in French Award.  

Hatch is an adolescence education (grades 7-12) major with a French concentration /French dual major at Canisius University.  She has participated in the Meudon Internship in France, served as president (2012-2013) and treasurer (2011-2012) of the Canisius University French Club, and is a member of Phi Delta Phi, the national French honor society. Hatch is a student of Eileen M. Angelini, PhD, professor of French at Canisius University.

AATF was founded in 1927 and promotes the study of the French language and French speaking literature and culture at all levels.  The Outstanding Senior Award is given annually to a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in the study of French, as well as exceptional commitment to the French language and the many cultures where it is spoken.

Canisius is one of 28 Jesuit universities in the nation and the premier private university in Western New York.
