August 20, 2013

Rev. James Pribek, S.J., professed his final vows in the Society of Jesus before family and friends at Christ the King Chapel. Jesuits take final vows after a lengthy period of formation, which includes religious and professional training, and several years of full-time ministry.

Father Pribek entered the Society’s Wisconsin Province in 1987. He was ordained a priest in 1999 and arrived at Canisius in 2004 to fulfill his calling as a pastor and educator. An associate professor of English, Father Pribek is a renowned scholar on Cardinal John Henry Newman’s influence on Irish novelist and poet James Joyce.
