Forty-five Canisius Students Inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma

BUFFALO, NY – The Richard J. Wehle School of Business inducted 45 students into the Canisius University Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma during ceremonies on March 24, 2013.

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society that serves business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Membership in the honor society is the highest recognition a business student can receive in a business program that is accredited by AACSB International. Those students invited to become members must rank in the top 10 percent of their respective baccalaureate business program or in the top 20 percent of their graduate business program.

The 45 new Canisius inductees join an expanding worldwide network of more than 625,000 young business professionals who have earned lifetime memberships in Beta Gamma Sigma.

The inductees from the Canisius Class of 2013 are: Kevin F. Cheney; James L. Emminger; Emily K. Funk; David J. Gattie; Andrew C. Jaskowiak; Joshua M. Kehoe; Anne M. LaPorte; Angela R. Lewis; Christina R. Liberto; Jennifer Manzella; Brent C. Masich; Philip M. Rizzuti; and Christine E. Wittmeyer.

The inductees from the Canisius Class of 2014 are: Michael G. Anczok Jr.; Michelle L. Blasz; Ryan J. Bohrer; Kayla E. Collins; Allyssa Mae Compton; Jonathan J. Corona; F. Alexander Fehrman; Lisa C. Fischer; Danielle M. Giancarlo; Stephen J. Grimm; Carly R. Hacker; Eric D. Hammer; Richard M. Hilliker Jr.; Sarah R. Palazza; Justin D. Renaud; Christopher J. Rider; Terence M. Shannon; Ryan E. Smith; and Connor S. Thrun.

Edward M. Murphy, from the Canisius Class of 1974, received an honorary induction into the Canisius Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma on March 24. Murphy is a chief investment officer at Merchants Insurance Group.
