Permanent Chair of Polish Culture to Host Benefit Concert

BUFFALO, NY - The Permanent Chair of Polish Culture at Canisius University and the Polish Arts Club will host a benefit concert on Thursday, March 14. The event is free and open to the public and a reception to meet the artists will follow.

The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael Church, located at 651 Washington Street, Buffalo.

The concert, entitled Make a Joyful Noise, will feature young artists Brittany Mruczek, soprano; Dominik Wrona, pianist; and the Cantata Omnes choir, directed by Maria Chomicka with Chelsea Brodka, featured choir soloist.

The concert, which will feature music by Moniuszko, Mozart, Chopin, Szymanowski, Lloyd-Webber and Gorecki, benefits the Leokadja Dombroska/Polish Singers Alliance of America Scholarship Fund which has awarded scholarships to WNY artists Emily Helenbrook, Michael Hawk and Haley Brunstad.

Off street parking will be available at St. Michael Church. A free will offering will be accepted for the Scholarship Fund and checks may be made payable to the “Polish Singers Alliance.”
