Sports Hall of Fame

BUFFALO, NY - The Canisius University Sports Hall of Fame welcomed six new inductees on Saturday, January 26. 

To be eligible for induction, former student-athletes must have completed their eligibility at least 10 years prior, be acclaimed as an undergraduate as one of the outstanding athletes in the college’s history and, since graduation, must have continued to reflect favorably on the college.  Non-athletes may be inducted if they have made outstanding contributions to Canisius University athletics. 

The Canisius Athletics Department also presented the Rev. Paul J. Dugan, SJ, Award to J. Joseph Van Volkenburg ’88, former senior associate director of Campus Ministry.  The award recognizes individuals for their significant contributions to Canisius athletics.
