US NEWS GIVES WEHLE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS HIGH MARKS

Buffalo, NYU.S. News & World Report’s 2022 rankings name the Canisius University Wehle School of Business (WSB) as the #1 private undergraduate business program in Western New York. This peer ranking is based on the judgments of deans and senior faculty members at peer institutions.

The Wehle School develops business professionals to lead within their organizations, to excel in the globally competitive marketplace and to behave as ethically and socially responsible individuals. This is achieved through teaching excellence, intellectual vigor and community involvement in the Jesuit tradition. 

Canisius received additional accolades on the U.S. News & World Report list of Best Undergraduate Accounting Programs

  • No. 1 in Western New York
  • No. 4 in New York State
  • Among the top 8% nationwide 

Canisius accounting graduates are also top performers on the New York State CPA exam.  Alumni who sat for the 2017 CPA exam for the first time within one year of graduation, earned the highest average score on the exam. The group ranked first (1st) out of 44 colleges and universities in the state. Job placement for Canisius accounting majors is consistently at or near 100 percent.

Canisius earned similarly commendable rankings on the U.S. News & World Report list of Best Undergraduate Finance Programs: 

  • No. 1 in Western New York
  • No. 5 in New York State
  • Among the top 6% nationwide

Job placement for Canisius finance majors is consistently at or near 100 percent. This includes students participating in the college's Golden Griffin Fund program who are heavily recruited each year by financial firms in Western New York and throughout the U.S.

To be considered for the U.S. News & World Report list of Best Undergraduate Business programs, colleges and universities must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).  The WSB is proud to hold AACSB international accreditation, the premier accrediting agency for business programs in the world. Canisius holds accreditation longer than any other private business school in Western New York.
