BUFFALO, NY - For the fifth time in six years, the Canisius women’s lacrosse team won a MAAC championship. The women defeated No. 3 seed Monmouth University (New Jersey), 17-5, to win the league’s crown and a conference berth to the NCAA Division I Lacrosse Championship, where they later fell to Cornell University, 15-11, in the first round.
The team finished the season with a 13-7 record.
