Dr. Spaulding is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department of Canisius College. Prior to his academic post, he was a Senior Software Engineer at a Buffalo-based R&D company and has served as the lead UI developer on multiple projects for the Department of Defense. He received a BS in 2003 from Clarkson University in Engineering & Management and an AS in Game Design & Development from Full Sail University in 2004. In 2013, he acquired a MS in Computer & Information Science from SUNY Polytechnic and completed a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida in 2018. Dr. Spaulding frequently collaborates with the Security Analytics Research Lab supervised by his former PhD Advisor, Dr. Aziz Mohaisen. He is interested in all computer security & privacy-related problems in general. In particular, his research focus is DNS security & privacy, e.g., eliminating vulnerabilities and mitigating attacks.
