63rd Annual Accounting Banquet

The Department of Accounting at Canisius College is proud to announce the 63rd Annual Accounting Banquet on Thursday, April 25, 2019.  The banquet will be held at Salvatore's Italian Gardens, 6461 Transit Road, Depew, NY, with cocktails starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.

William J. Maggio, ’85, MBA ‘92, Managing Partner of Lorraine Capital LLC
William (Bill) is an experienced, accomplished executive recently receiving honors from a US leading business journal as one of the 2019 100 most influential business leaders in the United States. Bill has spent his life building and growing companies, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. Over the past 15 years, Bill has acquired, operated and exited a number of life science-based companies including Immco Diagnostics, Nova Century Scientific, Inc., Oma Pathology Labs, LLC, and Unilab, Inc.
Currently, Bill is the Managing Partner of Lorraine Capital LLC, a New York private equity firm and also serves as the CEO of the Jacobs Institute based in Buffalo, New York. Additionally, he is a Senior Advisor to Convergent Healthcare Partners and Executive Chairman of BUSH Industries, one of our regions larger employers.
Bill is committed to Western New York and is engaged in a number of social, charitable and community organizations, including as Executive Vice Chairman of the Kaleida Health Board of Trustees, founding Board member and Chairman of 43North (which has brought more than 60 business startups to Buffalo), Trustee of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, former Trustee at University at Buffalo Foundation, current Advisor to Roswell Park GBCT, and Trustee at the West Side Rowing Club. He is married to Linda and they have two amazing daughters, Emilie and Sophia, of which Bill will always say are his “board of directors.” 

The Accountant of the Year Awardmike

Michael L. Bradley, CPA,  Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer 
Michael Bradley is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for NOCO Incorporated and subsidiaries. He joined NOCO in 2006 and oversees all aspects of NOCO’s financial planning, performance, reporting and resource management. He is actively involved in the company’s strategic planning and business development. Mike was honored as WNY Financial Executive of the Year in 2010 by Business First for large privately-held companies.
Prior to joining NOCO, Mike gained many years of experience at the U.S. headquarters of an Irish conglomerate where he served as Director of Finance. With operations in seven states and Mexico, Mike provided hands-on management of the accounting, tax, treasury and benefits administration functions and gained valuable experience with business acquisitions, divestitures, systems design and implementation. After graduating from Canisius College in 1984, Mike started his career at KPMG Peat Marwick where he planned and executed audits and conducted consulting engagements for a variety of clients.
Mike volunteers his time with several organizations. As an alumnus of Canisius College, he serves on the Canisius College Council on Accountancy. It is here that Mike can relay his everyday knowledge and experience to college students entering into the field of accountancy. He is also past Chairman and current Trustee of the Western and Central NY Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society where he was recently honored as recipient of the 2019 Service To Mankind Award.
Mike was awarded a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Canisius College where he also completed the curriculum of the All-College Honors Program. Mike and his wife, Amy, are the proud parents of four daughters and are also active supporters of Gerard Place and The Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart.
