Dr. Garry Ladd began his undergraduate studies at Oswego State University and completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Syracuse University. He holds graduate degrees in the areas of Exercise Science, Sport Management, and Health Science. Dr. Ladd completed his Doctor of Health Science degree at Nova Southeastern University with a concentration in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. He is the Graduate Program Director for Community and School Health in the College of Professional Studies at Canisius University, Buffalo, NY. He has many years of experience developing curriculum and teaching online courses. His work experience includes serving in the US Navy and the US Army Reserve (retired) in the medical field with the last five years of his career overseeing the operations of a reserve medical clinic. His experience in the health and exercise science field spans over 35 years, with 30 years of higher education teaching experience. Dr. Ladd has been involved in school, community, and military health promotion and education. In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Ladd is actively involved in living history as a Civil War Surgeon and enjoys the benefits of regular exercise. He enjoys promoting healthy lifestyles and encourages individuals, families, and communities to take responsibility for their overall health and well-being.
