Accounting Systems and Analytics

Today’s global economy requires more complex, real-time financial advice and accounting services. And that requires an understanding of the latest technology as it relates to accounting.  Study accounting systems and analytics (ASA) to learn how to bridge the gap between accounting and technology, and to prepare for a variety of careers from accounting firms to financial institutions.

The ASA program reinforces accounting concepts with state of the art technology that expands your career opportunities. Membership in SAP University Alliance enables the college to use SAP software for instructional purposes. SAP is a worldwide leader in enterprise resource planning software solutions. You will use the SAP software throughout the ASA program to build skills that are in demand in the marketplace.  As a member of the SAP University Alliances program, Canisius University offers the SAP Student Recognition Award certificate to students who satisfactorily complete a minimum of three ASA courses that include at least one-third SAP hands-on content.

You have the flexibility to dual major in accounting by taking only a few additional courses. You will use your ASA knowledge to supplement your accounting skills and improve opportunities to land a professional position. Internships enable you to acquire paid work experience, while in school and during the summer
