Helping Those In Our Own Backyard
Rooted in the mission of social justice, the Canisius University Video Institute aims to help the greater community while offering students a hands-on approach to filmmaking and doing social justice. Western New York is home to a rich, vibrant community of nonprofit organizations each with a mission to better the community while promoting social, cultural and ethical change and well-being. Since the founding of the Institute, over 85 nonprofit organizations in Western New York and abroad have been able to share their stories and advance their missions with the assistance of the Video Institute.
