Pursuing Excellence Through Research
Psychology majors can hone their research skills by collaborating with professors through the Canisius Earning Excellence Program (CEEP). The program offers invaluable opportunities for applied scholarship and critical thinking. Recent projects reflect diverse topics, including psychosocial development and healthy aging, the limitations of eyewitness identification, antisocial behavior, and the personality traits of children with autism spectrum disorder.

Conference Presentations
Under the guidance of faculty, our students are encouraged to present the results of their work to others. In addition to opportunities on campus, students might co-present at regional and national conferences for professional organizations, including:

Psi Chi International Honor Society
Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, encourages excellence in the science and application of psychology. Students who qualify for membership can enjoy a number of activities and events, including research presentations and workshops.
Psychology Club
This lively student-run social organization is committed to extending classroom lessons through a variety of activities. Majors and non-majors alike take part in community service projects, network with professionals in the psychology field, and have fun in the process. Student-sponsored campus events have included Stress-Less Day, a movie night, and a speaker seminar.
