Commencement Ticket Information

TICKET INFORMATION FOR COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES

Canisius will host commencement as a hybrid event, to include a fully-virtual commencement ceremony and multiple in-person “Graduation Walk” events for the graduates of 2020 and 2021.

Virtual Ceremony - Tickets not available

For the virtual component, we will produce an event that truly honors the mission and traditions of Canisius, and of course, appropriately celebrates the outstanding accomplishments of our graduates and honorees.  This includes commencement and student speakers, conferral of honorary degrees and awards, and formal degree conferral.  It will also include a student slide show for graduates who have applied and checked-out for graduation.  For a list of dates for the 2020 and 2021 virtual ceremonies, please visit the Graduate Commencement and Undergraduate Commencement pages.

Graduation Walk Events

Canisius will offer our master’s and bachelor’s degree recipients the opportunity to cross the commencement stage in smaller “Graduation Walk” events in the company of their classmates. For a schedule of the Graduation Walk events, please visit the Graduate Commencement and Undergraduate Commencement pages.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate family members, friends, or other guests inside the Montante Cultural Center to watch the Graduation Walk ceremony. However, each graduate is allowed to invite up to 2 guests on-campus to watch the livestream of the Grad Walk from the Richard E. Winter '42 Student Center.  Tickets are not required.

The pre-recorded Virtual Ceremony and the live “Graduation Walk” events will be streamed on the college’s website.

If you have any questions regarding the Graduation check-out process, please do not hesitate to contact the Student Records and Financial Services Center at 716-888-2600 or email studentservices@canisius.edu. All other questions regarding Commencement, please email commencement@canisius.edu.
