Faculty-Student Collaboration

Working side by side on academic research. Co-presenting at an academic conference. Sharing candid feedback during a writing workshop. Going on a service immersion trip together. At Canisius, faculty-student collaboration comes in many forms.

  • Chemistry

Students can collaborate closely with scientists in other departments who have similar research interests.

  • Physical Education

Professional conferences give students a chance to present and share ideas while networking with experts in the field.

  • Digital Media Arts

DMA students practice real-world skills by collaborating with our local community of designers, developers and filmmakers.

  • Creative Writing

Creative writing students work with faculty mentors to shape their original work. Students also interact with our vibrant Buffalo literary community.

  • Research Opportunities

As an undergraduate, you’ll have the opportunity to work on research as early as your freshman year. Some of our students have even presented at national conferences. We’re proud to offer more than 100 annual research awards for undergraduates.
