Got Donations?

Want to donate to a local organization, but we’re not hosting a drive?  We recommend:


St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy (325 Walden Ave, Buffalo, NY 14211)

  • Accepts donations of the following:
    • New and gently used clean clothing
    • Linens
    • Toys
    • Working household items
    • Will take all food, but prefer a $10 Tops card in lieu of perishables
  • They do pick-ups for large donations
  • St. Luke’s also accepts specific donations on a monthly basis


Harvest House (175 Jefferson Ave, Buffalo, NY)

  • Accepts donations of the following:
    • Baby and children’s clothing up to size 14
    • Urgent Needs:
      • Boys clothing, size 5 to 14
      • Newborn items
      • Scratch mittens
      • Outfits
      • Onesies
      • Gowns/Sleepers
      • Bibs
      • Pacifiers
      • Baby towels/washcloths
      • Hats
      • Baby, Toddler, and children socks
      • New underwear, children’s size 3-14/16
      • Car seats (infant and toddler seats needed urgently)
        • Must have a base
        • Must be less than 6 years old
      • Cribs 
        • Stationary sides
        • Mesh sides preferred

Habitat ReStore (501 Amherst Street, Buffalo, NY 14207)

  • Accepts donations of the following:
    • Building materials, such as shingles, lumber, tiles, etc.
    • Hardware and fixtures
    • Gently used furniture
    • Household appliances
    • Windows and doors
    • Cabinetry
    • Appliances

St. Vincent DePaul Society (1298 Main Street) 

  • You can drop off donations at any of the clothing bin locations
  • Closest to Canisius College is the bin at Sister’s Hospital (2157 Main Street, Buffalo, NY)
  • Accepts donations of the following: 
    • Softly used clothing without stains or tears
    • Unbroken toys
    • Books
    • Jewelry, scarves, gloves, accessories
    • Children and adult clothing
    • Household goods: dishes, pots, & pans
    • Blankets and other bedding without stains/rips
    • Gas stoves (gas service must be disconnected)
    • Small working household appliances
    • Refrigerators & freezers that are plugged in and cool at the time of pickup
