Canisius Giving Day

#CanisiusGivingDay concluded with $345,047 from 2009 donors. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

You did it again! The second annual Giving Day on April 26 at Canisius broke all records, garnering an impressive $345,047 from 2,009 alumni, friends, parents, faculty and staff and students. 

As a result of Giving Day:

  • Canisius made history – the second year in a row – for the highest number of donors making a gift to the college in one day.
  • The Class of 1967 Giving Day Challenge and bonus Giving Day Challenges were unlocked. Giving Day Challenges totaled $152,350.
  • The Griffin Pride video was viewed by nearly 20,000 people.
  • Special recognition goes to the following academic programs and athletics teams that had the highest number of donors AND raised the highest dollar amounts: Contemporary Writers Series and Women's Rowing. The Class of 2001 raised the most dollar amount of any class year and the Class of 2014 had the largest amount of donors.View the final Giving Day leaderboards here.
