International New Student Orientation is your first opportunity to become acquainted with Canisius, international student peers, and the city of Buffalo! The orientation is mandatory for all new F-1 visa international students, but open to other members of the global student community. Contact ISP if you are interested in participating in this orientation program, which takes place prior to the start of New Student Orientation. The focus of this program is on cultural adaptation, tools for academic success, becoming familiar with your new environment, and bonding with the new international student cohort.
The Office of International Student Programs sponsors a number of events and activities throughout the year for the global student community to get together. The activities vary from celebrating holidays from different cultures to experiencing the American lifestyle. If you would like to be made aware of these events, please reach out to us and request to be added to the international student email listserv and Griff Link page!
Each November, ISP will collaborate with various departments and student organizations across campus to bring you International Education Week. Stay tuned to Griff Link and myCanisius for the schedule of events each Fall semester!
