History Student Letter

I’d like to congratulate you on your acceptance to Canisius and tell you a bit about my wonderful experience here.

I am a senior history major on the pre-dental track. I recognize that this path is nontraditional, but I wouldn’t have done it any other way. I have always had a deep interest in the study of history, and knew that I wanted to pursue a history major. I also knew that I ultimately wanted to go into the dental field after my undergraduate career. Canisius allowed me to pursue both interests without sacrificing either passion. 

My history major has been flexible enough to allow me to take all the science pre-requisite courses needed for my pre-dental track. My experience as a history major has given me invaluable communication and writing skills that I will carry with me throughout my professional career. The history department at Canisius is top-notch. The professors are experts in their fields, and are eager to share their incredible knowledge and skills with their students. The individual attention will provide you with all the skills you need to thrive in college and beyond.

I hope you seriously consider Canisius as your home for the next four years. If you do, I’m certain you’ll feel like you’ve expanded your family, your connections and your ability to succeed in whatever comes next for you!
