Polish Film Festival

Annually, Polish Chair sponsors the Polish Film Festival in Buffalo. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Polish Film Festival the Chair has teamed up with the Buffalo International Film Festival (BIFF). This year's film screenings included:

  • Zaćma/Blindness (2016) by Ryszard Bugajski, screened at North Park Theatre
  • Koniec Świata/The End of The World (2015) by Monika Pawluczuk, screened at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center

Polonia Trail

Polish Chair supports the Polonia Trail, a digital humanities project spearheaded by  James L. Ławicki II and Andrzej D. Gołębiowski showcasing important historic sites throughout Western New York that have significance to the Polish American Community. Polish Movies Collection

As a part of its activity in Erie County the Permanent Chair of Polish Culture has donated the following Polish movies to Erie County Library. They are available atthe Central Library on Lafayette Square in Buffalo and from any local branch.
