Welcome to Canisius College! We are excited that you have chosen to become part of the Canisius family and we are looking forward to providing you with a solid beginning to your undergraduate education here. To this end, we have designed a New Student Orientation program to take care of this all-important step in your college success.
New Student Orientation (NSO) is a mandatory program for all incoming first year and transfer students in January and will take place on Friday, January 12, 2018. The New Student Orientation program includes presentations from various offices, staff members, and students that is beneficial to your transition to Canisius College.
Registration for January Orientation begins November 15th. To register go to the checklist on your myCanisius portal.
January NSO will take place in the Regis Room (2nd floor, Richard E. Winter '42 Student Center). Please arrive by 9:00am for check-in. The orientation program will begin at 9:00am. Lunch and campus tours will be provided.
Accommodations for Students
- Residents - Residence Halls will open on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at noon for the spring semester. To request an early move in please contact the Office of Residence Life at 717-888-8300.
- Commuters - All incoming commuter students will need to commute to campus for New Student Orientation.
Parking & Directions:
- All students are asked to park in the Science Hall Parking Ramp (corners of Jefferson and Delavan Avenues). The entrance to the ramp is on Jefferson Avenue.
