Our 72-acre campus rests atop a labyrinth of tunnels. The underground network runs from Dugan Hall to Old Main, from Street Side Café to Bouwhuis Library. The tunnels serve a practical use—they keep us warm through Western New York winters. But there’s more to it than that. They’re vibrant. You can’t walk 10 feet without hearing a welcoming ‘hello.’ Bright posters adorn the walls—invitations for upcoming events. Friendships form on the pathways to class. Snacks are shared. Courses are taught. Clubs rally. Our tunnels keep us connected, in more ways than one.
Don’t choose a college based on a letter you get in the mail. The perfect school shouldn’t just be perfect on paper; it should be the right fit for you in real life. Nothing beats first-hand experience – that’s why we’re inviting you to the Canisius College Open House on Saturday, October 18th or Sunday, November 2nd.
At Canisius College, we want our students to be curious. At our Open House, you’ll have a chance to ask all of your questions. Ask about the admissions process and scholarship opportunities, or about what you can study or where you will live. Get the information you need, directly from the source.

The office of admissions will host a special reception at 6pm for interested high school students. Please RSVP by September 20th, limit 2 tickets per student.
Nothing beats first-hand experience. It’s the best way to learn and it’s the best way to choose a college. We’d love to show you around (and show you off a little, too). Our Saturday visits begin at 10 am, and include an admissions presentation and a campus tour. On select Saturdays, certain departments will be represented to answer questions and give a presentation. All students are welcome to attend any Saturday visit. This year, you’re invited to visit on the following dates:
- September 20
- September 27 - All-College Honors Program presentation included
- October 13 - Monday visit day for the Columbus Day holiday will be structured like a Saturday Visit.
- October 25 - Animal Behavior, Ecology & Conservation presentation included
- November 15 - Pre-Medical Program presentation included
- November 22
- December 6 - Transfer Visit Day
To get the full Canisius experience, sit down for a one-on-one conversation. Get your questions answered in person. Spend half-an-hour getting to know an admissions counselor. See our state-of-the-art campus for yourself. This individualized approach is a lot like a Canisius education.
