The Military Friendly® Schools designation is a trusted resource for veterans and military-connected students seeking higher education opportunities that align with their unique needs. The designation is awarded to the top colleges, universities, community colleges and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace military students, and to dedicate resources to ensure their success both in the classroom and graduation.

More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2026-2027 survey, with 830 institutions earning special awards for exceeding Military Friendly® standards. Rankings were determined by combining public data from federal agencies with responses from the institutions themselves, evaluating factors such as student retention, graduation rates, career outcomes, and support services specific to military students. Schools that achieve award designations demonstrate a true commitment to going above and beyond in their support of the military community.

The full list of Military Friendly® Schools will be published in G.I. Jobs® magazine and is available at www.militaryfriendly.com.
