Commuter-in-Residence Program

Try campus living—short-term and on your schedule.

The Commuter-in-Residence Program gives commuter students the chance to experience life in a Canisius residence hall for a short period of time. Whether it’s the start of the semester, finals week, or another time when living on campus would help you succeed, this program makes it possible to enjoy the convenience of campus living without a long-term commitment.

How It Works

  • Open to commuter students.

  • Stay in a residence hall for up to two weeks per semester.

  • Choose the timing that works best for you (e.g., start of term, mid-semester, finals).

  • Pay a pro-rated housing rate based on your stay.

  • Meal plan requirements vary by building.

Why Participate?
  • Eliminate your commute during busy or stressful times.

  • Focus on academics with the convenience of living close to the library, labs, and study spaces.

  • Experience residential life before committing to a full semester or year on campus.
