Dr. James Goldstein
Director of Business Analytics
Before joining Canisius, Dr. Goldstein had a career in public accounting in New York City, and worked in the controller’s division of a major Wall Street investment bank, as well as a regional bank in Western New York in the risk management and finance departments. Dr. Goldstein holds a B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University, a M.B.A in Finance and Economics from New York University, and a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Syracuse University. He is the Program Director for the M.S. Business Analytics program at Canisius, and also teaches in the Accounting and Accounting Systems and Analytics programs. Dr. Goldstein is able to apply his academic and professional experience to help organizations to identify practical solutions to real-world problems.
Dr. Sana Spector
Director of Data Analytics and Data Science
Dr. Sana Spector is a mathematician who studied different areas of pure- and applied mathematics, in particular Random Matrix Theory, Wavelet Analysis, Functional Analysis, Probability and Statistics, Big Data, and their connections in many applied fields. She loves teaching, loves mathematics, and always concern for students. When she is not on campus, she can likely be found biking, reading classical literature and having adventures in nature.

Matt brings a strong background in information security, detection engineering, and threat response, along with years of experience in the classroom. His unique blend of industry knowledge and teaching expertise makes him well-positioned to lead our growing cybersecurity program and support students as they prepare for high-demand careers in the field.
